The “Surge”, the Sons of Iraq (SOI) and the Iraqi Army (IA) have emasculated Sadr, an fair conclusion given his support from Iran has als waned. If Sadr city is essentially secured, as I believe it now is, there won’t be many many takers for renewed violence considering the successes as they have been. The IA hasn’t been putting up with Sadr’s activities….But I could be wrong.
Good though, that his SOF agreement will be ratified before January 20th when the Obama administration takes the helm, preventing them from being able to “crow” about the change he brought bringing “success” to Iraq. Change will go there, no doubt, but it’s the type of good “change” the US Military and remaining coalition have fostered.
But this is a two front war–while Iraq, according to Mike Yon, is a resolute victory, expect Obama to look to something to claim it for themselves if Bush doesn’t do so, extravagantly I’d suggest, before O-day (This could be alluded to as Obama day, or Orwellian day–or quite simply, 1984). That aside–look to Afghanistan.
How far behind “us” are the people? The polling will determine the outcome. Public opinion will determine the course. The MSM will, without an avid counter-propaganda campaign executed by those via talk radio and blog will set the stage, will attempt to set the opinion to accept the foreign policy vis-a-vis the GWOT Obama will pursue.
It is called “preparing the battlefield” and/or IPB, “intelligence preparation of the battlefield.” Military training in regards to strategy and thought are not things the MSM are schooled in. They are simply devoid of objective, analytic thought and are therefor driven solely by bias. These factors handed Obama the election by convincing the mindless to accept the ambiguities of “hope” and “change” while refusing to give coverage to topics that mattered–ergo, Obama’s associates such as Rev. Wright and ultimately Bill Ayers. The electorate out of the woods, Wright and Ayers have come in from the cold now and are thrust into the public eye by the MSM, un-cloaked of their pre-election ambiguous relationships with Obama.
Two posts on the morning blogs force consideration of Obama’s future dealings with Afghanistan policy. First though, from the new administration gratitude is in order via the American tax payer.
“General Electric said Wednesday that the federal government had agreed to insure as much as $139 billion in debt for its lending subsidiary, GE Capital. This is the second time in a month that G.E. has turned to a federal program aimed at helping companies during the global credit crisis.”

Newsbusters Mark Finkelstein (via The Jawa Report) suggested MSNBC is essentially getting the appreciative backslap for their undivided support during the election, an opinion promoted by Jim Pinkerton appearing on Fox News.
“On this evening’s Fox News Watch, the columnist and New America Foundation fellow cited the news that GE Capital, a subsidiary of MSNBC’s parent company GE, has received a $139 billion government loan guarantee.”
“Host Jon Scott opened this evening’s show opened with a clip of Chris Matthews [in a story that NB was first to report], saying that he saw as his “job” making the Obama presidency a success.”
Chris Matthews is not alone in this thought and anyone in the conservative Blogosphere knows this. Success–Obama must succeed. I repeat, Mathews is not alone, the main stream media is no longer a ‘free press’. Greet it with suspicion.
As I mentioned, IPB is beginning and one can expect to see more of it in the reporting out of both fronts. Positive stories will begin appearing out of Iraq as US forces to readjust to the requirements in Afghanistan following ratification of the SOF and agreement to withdraw by a certain date. And in Afghanistan? The direction teeters in the balance–one side of the cliff, failure/capitulation/withdrawal, the other side victory through escalation (an Afghanistan surge.)
The media is conducting IPB and will ramp up this effort in the coming weeks before O-day.
From a headline titled “Officials Blame US for Taliban Renewal”, again with thanks to Jawa Report the following:
“WASHINGTON - For seven years, the Bush administration has pursued al-Qaida but done almost nothing to hunt down the Afghan Taliban leadership in its sanctuaries in Pakistan, and that has left Mullah Mohammad Omar and his deputies free to direct an escalating war against the U.S.-backed Afghan government.”
“The administration’s decision, U.S. and NATO officials said, has allowed the Taliban to regroup, re-arm and recruit at bases in southwestern Pakistan. Since the puritanical Islamic movement’s resurgence began in early 2005, it has killed at least 626 U.S.-led NATO troops, 301 of them Americans, along with thousands of Afghans, and handed President-elect Barack Obama a growing guerrilla war with no end in sight.”
Jawa emphasized “All they’ve (US) done in the last two years is arrest one Taliban leader,” refusing via the quote to credit “any” success in the region attained by the US effort. Regarding IPB this “…and handed President-elect Barack Obama a growing guerilla war with no end in sight.”
Here lay the danger–preparation of the public to view Afghanistan as Vietnam (with the Russia’s experience as emphasis). Leftist leaning of the incoming president heralds his history in the teachings of the likes of Thom Hayden, key member of the Indochina Peace Conference, the lobby group responsible for orchestrating Congress to cut off funding for support to South Vietnam in 1975.
The way Nixon’s presidency ended spelled death for millions. “That year’s midterm elections, which were held just three months after the resignation, resulted in catastrophic losses for Republicans and ushered in a new group of Democratic legislators determined to undo the Nixon peace policy and surrender Cambodia and Vietnam to the enemy.”
It may be Iraq is now far too successful to fail but Afghanistan remains an open book.
“The first act of the newly elected Democrat Congress was a vote to cut off funding for the governments of South Vietnam and Cambodia in January 1975. As a result, the Communists overran both Saigon and Phnom Penh within a matter of weeks, and within three years they had slaughtered 2.5 million peasants in Indochina.”
Hayden and then wife Jane Fonda worked tirelessly to ensure the success of North Vietnam and the Khmer Rouge. Hayden and Fonda took a camera crew to the North Vietnamese “liberated” regions of South Vietnam to produce a propaganda film called an “Introduction to the Enemy” with the purpose of persueding viewers that the Communists weren’t that bad, that they were going to create an ideal society, based on justice and equality once the Americans had fully departed.
I can’t imagine the MSM openly embracing the Taliban as they did, but they may embrace Islamification. Fonda, made aware of the forced labor camps in South Vietnam after the fall essentially quipped, “Maybe they just need to learn how to work.”
Perhaps the MSM will convince the American people that Sharia law is the only law for the people over there and we had no business to say otherwise. The red playbook argues for pie in our (the American face), the leftists stirred the mix and Barack Obama’s ready to open the oven.
Which means quitting on the basis of “Guerilla Warfare” untenable ala Vietnam.

Obama Selective Service Registration smells of fraud one way or the other.
The following came up at Pat Dollard this A.M. and I’m inclined to write on it. Actually joining the military at age 17 vis-a-vis not having to fill the requirement of Selective Service Registration and it having been over twenty years ago I cannot testify as to whether or not Selective Service requires a birth certificate. The Oracle (Google) should tell us.
That said, it is possible (probable) that B. Huessein Obama never registered for Selective Service, using Chicago connetcions instead to produce proof of such in response to an FOIA request. The documents were released to the original author of this story, Debbie Schlussel, a year after the initial request was made. She asks–
Did President-elect Barack Hussein Obama commit a federal crime in September of this year? Or did he never actually register and, instead, did friends of his in the Chicago federal records center, which maintains the official copy of his alleged Selective Service registration commit the crime for him?
No one, even the MSM, denies knowing anything about the man and it was fervent anti-Bush reporters whom spent countless thousands of hours of their time trying to give the Rather-gate memo wings. This, even with the slightest leg to stand on will get less–much less.
But the release of Obama’s draft registration and an accompanying document, posted below, raises more questions than it answers. And it shows many signs of fraud, not to mention putting the lie to Obama’s claim that he registered for the draft in June 1979, before it was required by law.
One must ask themselves two questions. Is this plausible? Is this probable?
My take is plausible–
Obama is dirty (Rezco, Ayers, Wright) and is therefore untrustworthy.
Is this probabl(y) true? Even Bill Ayers rapist brother Rick registered for the draft–got drafted too but went AWOL some time after arriving at Fort Polk, LA. I’d like to believe this, but I’ll bow out for words from Little Green Footballs who helped do Dan Rather in. They were eager to refute the ongoing birth certificate discussion.
Documents and full article here.
Schlussel explains it all at her site.
We’ll see nothing happen and writhe while the worm turns.

Obama aides run mount on Bush/Obmama meeting
The topic of discussion between the outgoing President and the President Elect, B. Husein Obama was, in part a discussion about assistance for the sagging auto industry among other topics in the supposed ‘private’ meeting. No sooner had the meeting passed into history, specifics of the discussion made the New York Times.
Bush aides said the president is unhappy the conversation between him and Obama was leaked to the media at all, and insisted the two leaders were not engaged in a quid pro quo between the automakers and a free trade pact.
His advice, “keep close your counsel.” Emptiness may not be able to comprehend said advice.

Obama’s gonna heal us, Obama’s going to change teh whorld?
Well change is afoot at Google. So, shit on us (Veterans) for 365 days of the year until the anointed one seals your drooling butthole shut?

If four years of Obama is the price to be recognized for one day by Google, I’ll take the slight.

Couldn’t have said it better. This comes off of LGD
Well it looks bad for the US. The direct result of this victory will be that the opposition to the left (Obama et al) will be crushed. They will not be physically attacked at first but the conservative message to oppose the socialist will simply be blocked out! There will be total control of all current news outlets, the internet, and the current political opposition will be handcuffed. There will be an information black out and the only time you will learn of something you do not like will be when you see it on the street, you hear about it from someone who knows, or it comes to your front door.
Sure there will be those who will be VERY dissatisfied with the economy, foreign policy and the socialistic govt that we will have, but there will be no organized resistance because it will not be allowed.
The news black out will take care of most of the resistance and if someone does start to give problems they will be silenced by the leftist and it will all be done legally under the law. It will be done using the soon to be expanded civil rights laws, hate crime laws and the fairness doctrine.
The left will start with the dismanteling of what remains of the GOP. The GOP will be so savagely attacked that membership will be fighting for its survival and will have little time to mount any opposition to the left. It will be generations before this election is undone and there will be NOTHING that any organization (GOP, Libertarian, ets) will be able to do about it. Refer back to 1984 by George Orwell to see what is on the horizon.
The left has no compunction about using any means that it has to in order that they stay in power. The left has several models (communist, socialist, etc) that they can copy and believe me they will certainly do so.
Is an Unscientific Poll Better?

In June a writer blogged (see trackback)
For the second consecutive week, Political Machine at AOL is conducting an open straw poll. And for the second consecutive week, John McCain beats Barack Obama about 56-44 with about half a million votes tallied, total. This week Obama leads only in California, Washington, New York, Maryland, and DC.
And judging by the picture above, similar results apply. But what is going on? Others have argued that AOL is backwater, that only people with dial up connections or the old are using it. Perhaps that’s true and it may sway demographics some but “Blue” slam dunk gimmes for Obama are just not as evident in the outcomes this AOL straw poll is predicting.
OK-Washington State. I do not believe for one second that WA will go red in this election. I’d love to eat crow, truly I do…but it just ain’t happening. Lets look at the numbers after the election and then try to figure the demographic. If only the older dial up crowd uses AOL in Washington (probably those east of the Cascades) then there are few AOL users west of the Cascades ie. Seattle who are using it. It’s Seattle, the population epicenter of the state that swings it blue. Also, technically savvy Seattle WOULD be less likely to use AOL, agreed but it does not accurately predict a demographic that could be applied to the rest of the country.

Tom Elia has pointed out, recent polls have not been using an accurate cross-section of the American electorate in their surveys. The skew is almost always favorable to Democrats. The proof is in consistent election results that are several points better for the Republicans than polls predicted. (And the requisite delusional whining about vote manipulation.)
Bradley effect not included in the following but put in the back pocket for consideration, why or how could non-scientific polls be more accurate than the random sample polls?
1) Scale. Put simply, the more of a population that answers a survey question, the more accurate it will be assuming the sample isn’t totally skewed toward one or another demographic. The AOL poll has about 500,000 votes each week, spread out over all the states. The million total for the two weeks would be 1/2 of 1 percent of the entire population.
I didn’t catch what the numbers were ending the last AOL poll, but they were upwards of 200k. As of now, they are near 100k and reflecting similar numbers. The AOL polling system uses a SPAM filter so that some liberal cant’t sit there, cup of Koolaid in hand punching the Obama “vote” button with the voracity of a caged chicken frantically pecking the automated “food” button for feed pellets. Dead people don’t vote in AOL polls (the contributing blogger pointed out).
He clarifies some other polling information.
The recent ABC poll surveyed 1125 people. That’s 0.00000375% of the population. With a sample that small, you’d better get the “random” part of that right. In other words, to be really random, exactly two people from Wyoming would participate.
2) Proactive versus reactive voting. Even in a perfectly random sample, the surveyor comes to you. You don’t have to be proactive about anything. Surveys typically say the result is among “likely voters” - likely voters being anyone who says they’re likely to vote. And what about the people who refuse to answer? What are their political proclivities?
The human bias is somewhat removed.
The AOL poll is actually more like voting than answering a survey. By participating, you’ve already displayed a proactive interest in the election. Answering your telephone does not indicate that you’re going to vote, even if you say you will.
3) Bad random sampling. Tom Elia has covered this in depth. But let’s dig even a little deeper into the recent ABC poll. On page 8 of the metrics, we find that:
This ABC News/Washington Post poll was conducted by telephone June 12-15, 2008, among a random national sample of 1,125 adults, including an oversample of African Americans (weighted to their correct share of the national population), for a total of 201 black respondents.
In fact, if there were one group that might be under-represented on AOL (because of technology non-use, income limitations to computer ownership, etc.), it may be those “working-class Democrats from Kentucky” the media sneers at. The ABC poll tells us that Obama does well among higher-income whites, who I would guess are over-represented on America Online versus the general population.
New York is overwhelmingly blue, but so should California–it’s not.

Over 8k have participated. That stats on that improve dramatically with greater than the 1200-1500 polled in MAINSTREAM polling data regularly parroted in the news.
If you factor out the shortcomings of polls, media hero-worship, and peoples’ fear of being un-PC in public; and include anecdotal discussions with regular people, you might get a different idea about Obama’s chances. I’ve been surprised in discussions I’ve had with Hispanics here in Las Vegas, Democratic loyalists in Boston and environmentalists in Oregon who tell me they’re voting for McCain. I’m not sure they’d tell that to a pollster, were they to be among the .00000001 percent of people chosen to participate in a survey.
A not on un PC. Look–everyone has heard of Bill Ayers. I’ll parrot this again here in case it can go farther. Ayers and Obama are buddies. Anyone says less is full if shiznit and anyone believes it is a ree-ree. Bill Ayers orchestrated the gang rape of his girlfriend in 1964 by his brother Rick (who went on to teach elementary school children) and his big black roommate. When she (Donna Alder was her name–she wrote the article “Remembering a Sixties Terrorist” as Donna Ron for Frontpagemag.com) refused to let his black roommate screw her, he (Bill Ayers) accused her of being a bigot. Have we seen this flavor in the campaign? Palin wears white–racist. Use of the word socialist–racist and so on. But back to what is at hand.
According to the original commentator on the numbers, his quote “Bottom line: The 56% for McCain feels about right.”
Lets hope so. The battleground, highly important state data follows.

Thats that. I’ll pull the numbers and repost again on the 3rd for all the main states just so I can compare the numbers at the end of it all. I may write about it, but too many will be breathing sighs of relief or disbelief following the 3rd to bother.

Larry Grathwohl goes on O’Reilley Factor tomorrow where he’ll essentially address directly a major key point of the book I’ve been writing for three years–Bill Ayers nonchalant penchant for the extermination of 25 million Americans.
No one but Confederate Yankee took the lead–now a ton of sites have been scooped and I smell I won’t be getting a handshake. Regardless….it’s more important the country gets more knowledge than my getting a head nod.
Pat/Bash/Drill–
Bob Owens (Confederate Yankee) posted his Grathwohl interview on “Pajamas Media”. Dohrn admitted killing a cop. Articles been up two days. It’s been ‘picked up’ so to speak, Larry goes on The Factor tomorrow.
The LG/Ayers connection is the only dust I had to throw in Obama’s eye–Zombie (via Little Green Footballs) places Obama at a violent Weather Underground Apartheid protest in ‘81. Have a read–

Read the entry. There is however, some remaining confusion. Is it the right Omar? Unsure yet. Does it matter? Yes and no. A high speed magic carpet straight to hell for the real “Omar please stand up please stand up” is preferred of course, but on the other hand…no becasue something tells me the actual now dead Omar partook of rape, misogyny, advocated marrying 6 year old little girls and had a thing for goat va’hine and watching erotic beheading videos.
Regardless. Good F’n riddance.
UPDATE: There seems to be some confusion about who was killed in the latest Predator strike. Hotair is reporting that the Mohammad Omar that was killed is not Mohammad Omar, aka Mullah Omar, leader of the taliban.
Like Ef said in the comments…how many Mohammad Omars are there in the taliban’s leadership?
The US Predator drone missile strike that killed up to 20 terrorist scum inside Pakistan today also killed taliban command Mullah Omar. F*&# Yeah!
The reclusive leader of the taliban is now burning in hell thanks to US taxpayer funded Hellfire missiles. (Thanks to Infidels are cool)
From BBC
A suspected US missile strike has killed 20 people, including a top Taleban commander, in north-west Pakistan, witnesses and officials say.
Mohammad Omar was among the dead when the missile, reportedly fired by a pilotless US drone, hit a compound owned by him in South Waziristan.[...]
The latest strike on Sunday night was launched at a compound owned by Mohammad Omar in Mandatta village in the troubled region of South Waziristan.
Mohammad Omar was a close associate of the dead Taleban commander Nek Mohammed, who was killed in a suspected US strike in the area four years ago.
Witnesses said that the missile strike completely destroyed Mohammed Omar’s house, and partially damaged two neighbouring houses.
The original follows the below in blockquote–
A Presidential candidate of the United States had an immigrant in the audience listening to his speech. At the height of the point the candidate was trying to make, he noticed the immigrant rubbing the back of his neck vigorously, his face twisted as if in pain.
The candidate stopped his speech and asked the man what was the matter. The immigrant told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country’s government and install a new communist government.
The candidate thought to himself that this, the crowd having heard the immigrant speak of guns, to segue into gun control but before the candidate could switch the atmosphere, the immigrant blurted out a strange question.
“Do you know how to catch wild pigs?” He asked.
It was too strange a question, obviously this supossed “immigrant” was some sort of BushHitler GOP operative and he made a mental note to have his proxies embedded in the state government run through this supposssed immigrant’s personal information for any catches to the story the promised one, the candidate expetcted to soon hear.
The immigrant left the messiah no time to think or react before answer the question he proposed. “You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence.”
“They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.”
But as he tried to finish the story, the immigrant realized he was among pigs, as they were running around him in circles with great flaggaltations and knashing of teeth, raising their hands to the immigrants face, and jumping up and down before him so he could not be seen, and yelling loudly so he could not be heard. They tried pulling him down from his legs.
But the immigrant struggled and he yelled louder the rest of his story. “Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.”
Obama tried to ignore the man. He stuttered aghast because the confrontation had been caught on a Fox news camera. He had already instructed the other news establishments to turn away, and thus they had complied. Bloggers with private cameras were there too, and he saw them in the crowd and was thus afraid.
The young man then told the Obama that is exactly what he sees happening to America The government keeps pushing us toward socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc. While we continually lose our freedoms - just a little at a time.
“There is no such thing as a free lunch!” He yelled at “The One.” But it was too late for “The One” to hear…Obama had scurried to his staff and yelled at them for allowing him to stumble into that hostile environment and NOT to schedule him to appear in such a place again. And “Oh,” he reminded them…..destroy that guy. Joe the plumber was he?
A chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab the Prof noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back, and stretching as if his back hurt.
The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country’s government and install a new communist government In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked, ‘Do you know how to catch wild pigs?’
The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke. ‘You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence.
They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.
Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.
The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America The government keeps pushing us toward socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc. While we continually lose our freedoms - just a little at a time.
One should always remember: There is no such thing as a free lunch!
